Skiathos - Lalaria Beach, Koukounaries Beach

Skiathos, a vibrant and youthful destination, is renowned for its stunning beaches, picturesque alleys, and lively nightlife. Koukounaries Beach, also known as “Golden Sand,” features fine, shimmering sand that glistens under the summer sun. It’s bordered by the Koukounaries forest, which extends to the sea, and the Strofilia lagoon, a protected wetland. Equally captivating is Lalaria Beach, accessible only by boat, where imposing white cliffs rise above the sea, and smooth white pebbles, called “lalaria,” blanket the shore. The iconic “Tripia Petra” arch stands as a sentinel, adding to the beach’s unique charm.

Skopelos – Panormos, Agios Ioannis (mama mia)

Skopelos, renowned for its role in the film “Mamma Mia,” boasts emerald beaches where pine trees gently touch crystal-clear waters. Panormos is a sheltered bay with a pebbled shore and pristine waters that deepen quickly. The organized beach is surrounded by lush pine forests, offering stunning sunsets. Agios Ioannis at Kastri, the iconic “Mamma Mia” location, is a terrestrial paradise. The beach features sand, pebbles, and clear, deep waters, with a breathtaking view of the rock and the chapel perched atop.

Alonissos - Chrisi Milia, Gerakas Beach

Alonissos, renowned for its stunning beaches, serves as a sanctuary for rare birds and the Mediterranean monk seal, Monachus monachus. A standout spot is Chrisi Milia, featuring fine sand, shallow turquoise waters, and trees that extend to the shoreline. Situated near both Chora and Patitiri, the island’s capital, this organized beach also offers ample free space. In the island’s northern part lies Gerakas Beach, a tranquil retreat with larger pebbles and sparser vegetation. Its remarkable seabed is ideal for snorkeling and spearfishing.

Kyra Panagia

Kyra Panagia, the largest uninhabited island of the Northern Sporades, is located northeast of Alonissos. During winter, it is home to only a few residents, but in the summer, it attracts numerous visitors drawn to its historic monastery and deep blue waters. Notably, the island serves as a vital refuge for the endangered Mediterranean monk seal, Monachus monachus.
